With the ability of face-to-face meetings now on hold due to the impact of Coronavirus, the Made in Group has relaunched its landmark Breakfast Mornings as virtual events allowing members to network and build lasting relationships in the name of challenging the erosion of British Industry.

Today saw Made in the Midlands member Wrekin Sheetmetal host their breakfast morning with 45 members from across the Midlands region.

Wrekin Sheetmetal is a premier Sheetmetal fabrication company located in 23,000 sq ft facilities in the heart of the Midlands, Telford. The company primarily works with mild steel, stainless steel, galvanised and zinc-coated steel and aluminium, employing highly experienced sheetmetal workers, fabricators and welders.

The virtual event began with an introduction from Simon Orpe, the Sales Director at the Wrekin Sheetmetal who gave an insight into how the company has handled the coronavirus situation. Shortly after, and as is traditional with these events, each member introduced themselves in a virtual pitch.

The Made in Group then placed attendees into two 15-minute breakout groups of 4 members each, allowing them to have more personalised conversations in smaller groups with discussions around working from home to the supply chain and the CBILS loan at the forefront of several discussions.

Made in the Midlands hosts events every week. You can take a look at our latest events by heading to our website here.
