The Express and Star publish the Made Mag; This has been one of their flagship titles often boasting more than 70 pages. Despite being one of the largest UK regional newspapers the Express and Star have suspended publishing except for their core daily newspaper. We do not have a new date for when this will restart. We expect this may not be soon.
The Made Group plans to produce a special edition, bounded publication titled “Backing Britain." This publication will carry stories from all of this year's exhibitors in the Midlands and Yorkshire, sharing what they do, their innovations, successes and sacrifices. The publication will form an integral part of our new virtual exhibition called "Backing Britain Live 2020."
We will print 5,000 copies; delegates will have a digital goody bag with the Backing Britain publication inside. We will also provide each exhibit with copies for their own use.
Members can send their stories to [email protected] or [email protected]. In addition to the printed version, we will also publish an electric edition, only fitting for the times!

The Made platform now has a new feature to enable the Made team to perform panel discussions and webinars virtually. These webinars and roundtable discussions are hosted using Zoom and then integrated into the Made platform. To access this new feature login to your made account and from your dashboard click 'virtual meetings' This will show you up and coming meetings you can join and also list past webinars with a link to the video stream.

A new feature that our team is working on is a live chat tool which will be accessible from the user interface within the next 60 days; we are using open-source software to enable gold and silver members to access a chat feature they can add to the microsite. This means they can chat with visitors to their page. This will also integrate with the new digital expo in August.

Keeping the community connected is our number one goal. So, with this in mind, we are going to facilitate the creation of dozens of mastermind groups within the Made in the Midlands and Made in Yorkshire community.
These mastermind groups will meet up every two weeks via the Zoom function that we’ve built into our website. The Made team will facilitate the meetings and send out calendar invites along with the creation of WhatsApp groups for each mastermind so that members can chat freely. The important rule regarding these groups is that discussions remain confidential, and as such, we apply Chatham house rules.
A mastermind group in traditional terms can be thought of like having your non-executive advisory board. What makes this unique is there should be no conflict of interests. Mastermind groups will meet once per fortnight for 1 hour. At these groups, members will offer advice, share knowledge, friendship and mentorship. We will start all mastermind groups as virtual groups using Zoom.
To join a mastermind group, you will need to be a gold member initially, and if we have the capacity, we will roll this out to silver members or help you set up your mastermind if you don't want to wait.

The restrictions placed on business and people as a consequence of COVID19 present the biggest challenge to face our generation, even during world war II there were brief moments of reprieve as people enjoyed socialising, beers and dancing.
To help lift spirits and to have something to look forward to The Made in Group will hold a free event for all members to get together, socialise and share friendship. We will make this our biggest and best social. We will spend whatever we can afford to make this a great occasion. This is our commitment and pledge. As soon as it is safe, we shall organise this for our members.
