Are You Up to Date With Made in Group's Latest Offerings? New Member Orientation Highlights New FeaturesMade News
More than 30 new members of the Made in Group gathered via zoom for the ‘New Member Orientation Event’ this week. Members had the chance to connect and introduce themselves via Zoom breakout rooms and CEO of the Made in Group, Jason Pitt, highlighted the benefits of being part of the Made in Group alongside the platform’s newest features.
Made in Group has added an array of new digital features to its platforms madeinthemidlands.com and madeinyorkshire.com, over the last year, to help its manufacturing members get up to speed with the digital era. Last year the group held its first virtual exhibition - Backing Britain LIVE alongside introducing Virtual Breakfast Mornings - encouraging members to connect and build relationships, crucial in times of uncertainty.
This year it has set its sights on tackling a rising issue facing the industry - employment. The 2020 pandemic saw millions of people lose their jobs in the UK, and with a prominent skills gap in the manufacturing/engineering industry the latest offering - Made Futures encourages members to recruit the right people through its free online jobs board and virtual careers fair.
Established in 2009 Made in Group derived from an editorial campaign to support British Industry, with an ambition to help manufacturing succeed. Chairman of the Group Lord Mike Whitby said: “Our ethos is rooted in the history and traditions of this great nation. We’ve created a new kind of company, one that unashamedly believes in Britain’s greatness.”
Made in Group helps manufacturers overcome problems facing the industry, and the 2020 pandemic was no exception. In more generic terms, the group helps SMEs build their network and brand, improving their marketing activity, making them more attractive as an employer, keeping up to date with market changes and helping manufacturers understand the digital world.
