Midlands and Yorkshire based trade association the Made in Group, will be going LIVE across their social channels on 23rd August to announce their exciting plans for the 2022 Backing Britain exhibition - a hybrid of the physical and virtual.
The Made in Group, comprising Made in the Midlands and Made in Yorkshire, is no stranger to hosting major exhibitions for its 400+ manufacturing members. In 2020 the firm held its very first virtual exhibition where 2,000+ visitors attended online webinars from keynote speakers and had the chance to interact with manufacturers all from the comfort of their home or the office.
This year, in March 2021, the Made in Group tackled one of industry’s biggest challenges - the skills gap with the Made Futures exhibition. This gave members of the public, especially those who lost their job as a result of the pandemic, the chance to talk to manufacturers who were recruiting to learn more about opportunities in the sector.
For April 2022, the organisation's plans for an exhibition, exclusively for members, are bigger than ever. CEO Jason Pitt and Director Illona Pitt will be announcing Backing Britain 3.0 - a three day exhibition that includes in person and online interaction.
The announcement being held LIVE on restream across the Made in the Midlands and Made in Yorkshire social media channels is one that members do not want to miss. Jason and Ilona will be talking about plans for in-person events at state of the art facilities in Wolverhampton, Derby and Leeds - a mixture of networking and visiting exhibition stands via virtual reality headsets. The overall exhibition itself will be hosted online with 3D interactive stands.
Backing Britain 3.0 stands for the transition of Made in Group exhibitions 1.0 being the physical exhibitions which were hosted in Coventry and Leeds until 2019, and 2.0 the virtual exhibitions. The concept of 3.0 brings the two aspects together, taking the best parts about an in person exhibition and merging it with more environmentally friendly virtual exhibitions.
