Made in Group's upcoming hybrid expo features a variety of digital benefits, however, what role will the in-person "fringe" events play for members of Made in the Midlands and Made in Yorkshire?
Alongside a virtual exhibition, featuring state-of-the-art immersive virtual reality technology, Made in Group's upcoming exhibition Backing Britain 3.0 has live features to ensure members get to experience "real life" networking amongst fellow industry leaders.
Featuring three top-class venues across the country set to host Made in the Midlands and Made in Yorkshire members, there is expected to be 300+ attendees in total at the Backing Britain 3.0 in-person fringe events, which will complement the online expo.
At the upcoming instalment of Made in Group’s famed expo, there will be three locations throughout the Midlands and Yorkshire - Derby, Leeds and Wolverhampton - giving both Made in the Midlands and Made in Yorkshire members the chance to connect.
The selected locations allow for the most number of members possible to be able to attend at least one venue, whilst not needing to travel too far. Therefore, this “Backing Britain 3.0 Expo” also aims to far reduce the environmental impact which has been seen in previous exhibitions.
There will be 3 celebrity speakers and 3 industry speakers in total, with one of each at every one of these in-person "fringe" events. So far, industry thought leaders and celebrity speakers Robert Llewellyn and Felicity Aston have been confirmed as keynote speakers - with the remaining 4 speakers yet to be confirmed (so watch this space!).
April 2022's Backing Britain 3.0 will see the launch of Made in Group’s brand new virtual directory, which will comprise Silver/Gold member expo stands, all year round. Through using Matterport cameras and technology, this will also allow people to visit members’ premises using 360° immersive features and (optionally) VR headsets.
Casting our eye to what you can expect from the physical events at the 2022 expo, Made in Group plan to book world-class venues, with delightful refreshments, and state of the art technology.
Ultimately, this technological aspect will form the link between the physical and virtual side of Backing Britain 3.0. For example, each physical event will give those in attendance the option to choose which member's factory to visit, through a virtual floor plan of QR codes, and virtual reality headsets scattered around the in-person venue. This technology aspect will of course be optional however, meaning that those in attendance can choose to live fully in the “real world” at these physical events if they would prefer!
